PURPOSE:
Optimize water system operation during scheduled PG&E lower rate hours.
• Well pumps operate during PG&E low electric rate hours to fill the overhead water storage tank while also delivering water to the system.
• Well pumps are turned off during higher PG&E electric rate hours. The overhead water storage tank delivers water to the system through gravity flow. No electricity is required for gravity flow.
• Pumps operating during PG&E high electric rate hours increase electrical costs which in turn will increase water rates.
Water Conservation
• Limited outside water use and landscape watering hours and days help ensure continued water availability for all shareholders.
