The over drafting of the water aquifer in the Madera sub basin is reaching a critical level in our area. Our most recent well tests have shown extremely low pumping water levels. The pumping water level at some of our wells is 600 feet below the ground. The standing water level is around 320 feet. We are currently working on our wells to overcome this. We are asking our residents to cut back on outdoor watering. We are not asking that you stop watering, but if everyone can cut back on the outdoor water use it will make a difference. You may experience periods (when everyone is watering) of lower pressure than you are accustomed to while we are making these modifications to the wells. We will keep you updated. Madera Valley Water Company continues to strive to provide safe reliable drinking water to it’s users.
Our field personnel are currently making emergency repairs in the Country Club area and water will temporarily be off. The streets affected are Club Drive, Madrone Road, and Merril Avenue. The repairs are being made as fast as possible and water service will be restored as soon as possible.
